Profile information: such as location, bio, genres, avatar, website, and social links you choose to provide.

Content you upload: audio files, artwork, metadata, and related upload declarations.

Usage information: such as tracks played, likes, follows, and interactions with discovery features.

Device and technical data: such as device type, operating system, app version, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the Service.

Communications: messages you send to support and responses we provide.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including authentication, profile display, streaming, uploads, recommendations, and customer support.

We use information to protect users and the platform, detect abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.

We may use aggregated or de-identified data for analytics and product improvement.

3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where applicable, we process personal data based on: performance of our contract with you; legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent where required (for example, optional profile fields or marketing where offered).

4. How we share information

Public profile data: information you add to your profile may be visible to other users according to your account type and product features.

Service providers: we use trusted providers for hosting, storage, email delivery, authentication, and infrastructure. They process data on our instructions and under appropriate safeguards.

Sign-in providers: if you use Google or Apple sign-in, those providers process information according to their own privacy policies.

Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements.

When you delete content or close your account, we delete or anonymize information within a reasonable period unless we must retain it for legal, security, or backup purposes.

6. Your choices and rights

You can update much of your profile information in Settings. You may request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your personal data where applicable law provides these rights.

You can opt out of non-essential communications where offered. Some processing is required to provide core Service features.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

9. Children

STRIDE is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support@stride-music.com.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy in the app and revise the effective date. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable means.
